Re Walker's "Why I'm Fighting" statement today. |
|
I've only seen in the the WSJ, so choose for yourself whether you want to waste your time.
He starts off by talking about a teacher (Megan Sampson) who was given a layoff notice last year as a first year teacher depite being names "outstanding 1st yr teacher" (don't even know if that's a real award). This was supposedly because of union-negotiated last-in first-out contract requirements.
My question. It doesn't say that she was fired, just given a layoff notice. Is she still a teacher and, if so, wouldn't it be great to find her in the protest lines for a reply?
