1. This is a people's protest, a people's movement. Obama would make things about him.
Give us support from Washington, but stay out of Wisconsin. I think that most people who are actually here in Wisconsin would agree with that.

3. I'm sure he'd be blasted no matter what he does
The corporate media would say he's being narcissistic. The LW critics here would say he's doing it all wronhg, or say "oh, it's just another pretty spoeech".

No time for spellchjeck. read my sig line.

6. I do too, altho I didn't vote for that. I bet Biden is having a nervous breakdown over this.
There's a vid of him somewhere where he breaks down and cries while addressing the Firefighters Union - thanking them for saving his son's lives during that car crash that killed his first wife and daughter.

5. If he were to go there and then Walker does not bend...
"WALKER WINS! WALKER BEATS OBAMA! WALKER NEXT PRESIDENT!" cried the Fox News headlines for at least the next year and a half.

7. So his actions should be dictated by fear of what Fox News will say?

10. Not at all.
But the "HUGE VICTORY" would tend to galvanize and focus Obama's opposition. And give Walker and others like him a great moral victory/encouragement.

8. A speech, if it were honest about what the Republicans are trying to do the unions
for the corporations and what that will ultimately mean for the middle class. Basically, I think he'd need to cover a lot of the ground that Rachel Maddow has covered, and with that much candor, and he should denounce the legal shenanigans the WI R's have been indulging in. I don't see it happening, but it would be my vote.

I had the impression that more people wanted O to get directly involved, judging from all the OP's about him not being.

16. stay the hell out and shut the hell up....
he`s no friend of the people who`s jobs are or could be on the line. it`s for dam sure he`s no friend of the teachers and their unions. he`d love to have the chump change the unions can give him but the leadership of the unions better think twice about that. we know who are friends are...

Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 02:36 PM by Davis_X_Machina
The correct DU answer is "He should nationalize the govt of Wisconsin. Toss the remaining Senators, GOP Representatives & the Governor in jail, and hold new elections."
