84. But are they really legal orders if the justification for the order
is based on illegal or extralegal logic?

Good for the the state troopers and local police who realize that there first responsibility is to keep the peace and their next is to protect the citizens.

Hopefully the national guard is also looking into whether or not they can be used for things like aggressive crowd control if that action is based one quasi-legal acts of the Governor or his associates.

Hopefully the Dims and unions will be able to get the state level courts to put stays on the implementations of some of these back door in the dark of the night laws that are being passed, to give an opportunity to determine if they are actually legal or not.
Much less than to give the public a chance to find out what is in the bills that have been passed.

88. No way Faux or Reich Wing backs down on this
This is core to their ultimate aim of controlling all the wealth and having the rest of us be poor serfs. They are beyond the Middle Ages, at least then trade unions were appreciated. Rove knows this, that's why he's putting $750,000 in pro corporatists anti worker ads. He wouldn't do that unless it were extremely important to his and the reich wing goals.

32. I'm sure they want that. Every thing they have done
up until now is to stir up violence on the part of the protestors, however, if the violence starts with them and all those people out there with cell phones document it, they will come off as the bad guys. Really, as long as the union protestors keep their cool, the Generalissmo and his legislature are painting themselves further and further into a corner, because everything they do from now on makes them look like banana republic dictators. I mean what if they try to cut off the internet and cell phone usage, even tea baggers aren't going to be able to justify that.

36. Never underestimate the power of...
...the teabaggers to justify anything and everything a right-winger does. I've seen multiple posts by wingnuts HOPING for riots and violence.

If Walker called in Wackenhut and they started shooting protesters, and it was caught on cell phones, they would claim it was doctored. The sane 85% of American citizens, however, would put an end to Walker.

If they do go in illegally and break heads then the protestors will be in the right to fight back. Not only that the Koch militia will be fighting against the regular police and sheriffs who for the most part are with the union protestors.

The courts are already being appealed to and recalls are in the works. If they should send Wackenhut or Xe out there, those mercenaries will be fighting regular cops, sheriffs and troopers with a stake in their state. If they make the first move to crack heads as you say, there will be war. I don't think even Gov. Wanker is that stupid.

Once any service is "privatized" the tax dollars get sucked up by the bank-vault. In combat zones, which Madison would become, these dudes make a minimum of $500/da.

25. I have no doubt that the State Patrol deeply resents their new leader,
Pappy Fitzgerald.

I also have no doubt that their sentiments are with the protestors.

The Patrol has 2 major duties--as traffic cops and as the Governor's escorts. They're not really into crowd control and the like in the ordinary course of things.

Funny we've heard nothing about the National Guard yet. My bet is that either the top brass has warned Walker off or he understands that they will be Federalized if he tries to use them as a political tool.

He should if things really get out of hand but to do it as a preventative measure will just feed into the whole right-wing nutbag conspiracy theory #4: Obama is trying to destroy the country, silence his opponents, use his private army to gain control of the country, throw teabaggers/conservatives/Rethugs into FEMA concentration camps, blah blah blah blah.

I don't give a shit what they think but the nutcases have the establishment Rethugs hopping every time they say hop -- it's just not worth it unless it becomes absolutely necessary. You know what his reaction would be if they started to have hissy fits....

Just drive over the border-I'm sure there are pockets in every state that would gladly put them up in their own homes for a week or two at a time.

I know places in the Ozarks and in the north woods in the U.P. (Upper Michigan) that would be almost impossible to find them.
