Scott Walker's real agenda in Wisconsin
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/mar/10/wisconsin-usa

The Republican governor's budget plan would open the state up to a corporate asset-grab not seen since robber baron capitalism

2. And in Michigan. Special appointee could close municipalities, fire elected officials
and turn management of everything over to a corporation (or a person) who could hire, fire, tax, spend, etc. at will.

3. It's also about stealing elections...
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 05:01 PM by CoffeeCat
...this is also about 2012. Does anyone remember when Obama's presidential returns were coming in--what
the numbers looked like? The big statistic was the untold numbers of Democrats that were now registered--due
to excitement for Obama and "change". There's no way in hell that Republicans can even think about winning
an election--when there are far more registered Democrats than Republicans. That's the reality for the
Republicans, after Obama's successful voter-registration drive and GOTV efforts. Their ground game was
unprecedented.

The neocons who yanked power away, with the selection of Bush--will return to power ASAP, at all costs. Look at what
they did to Acorn. First step, destroy the organization that could register more Democrats. Complete.

Now, they're going after the unions. Unions are terrific at campaign organization. They get people at rallies,
they provide space and money for phone banking and they are able to galvanize their workers to vote Democrat. They've
got plenty of money to throw at political ads, canvassing and other campaign activities. Unions get out the vote.

This is why this is happening.

The Republicans can't win another national Presidential election without destroying the successful infrastructure
that got Obama elected.

The Republicans are slashing and burning, in an effort to see that another Dem Presidential victory never happens again.

6. Undoubtedly, he knows what is happening--
...and I'm sure Obama has been schooled in how our government really works. He knows what
the American citizens are up against. I understand the thug corporatist neocons control
it all--but where are the heroes who will stop them?

Obama is the President. Can't he at least stand up to them? Or at the very least let the
American people know what is happening.

The very people that Obama is ignoring right now--are the people who got him elected and voted for
him. We canvassed for him, caucused for him, made phone calls for him, donated money and voted
for him.

Now, we're a "distraction"?

I'm really sick and tired of the excuses and rationalizations. I'm also sick of Obama understanding
full well that we no longer have a democracy--and doing absolutely nothing about it but standing
around and watching while we slide even farther into Fascism.
