1. because they are not winning
There are many sore losers in America, who will throw a hissey fit if they are not in the lead. They are like 2 year olds and the only way to deal with them is to punish them like a 2 year old. The naughty chair.

6. I was raised to be a winner, losing was not an option.
As I got older I realized winning wasn't everything as long as I felt the I did the best I could.

7. I see this trend here at DU when my arguments have carried the day - and they nearly always have.
I can count on one hand the number of times my side of any debate has been proven wrong, and that generates a lot of resentment from others.

It's the same throughout life, I've observed: nothing breeds resentment from folks like being proved wrong.
