Need some quick information about what's going on at the state Capitol? Just call the Department of Administration, which is in charge of such things as the building itself, and the police who protect it.

But wait. The DOA has tweaked its website. No more phone numbers. The staff directory was purged. So have archived press releases, which had contact numbers for the spokespeople who put them out. However, the agency executive roster, which contains phone numbers for division heads in all government agencies, still exists on the DOA secretary's page.

Oh well, at least there's always the state directory, which I had to use this morning because I misplaced the number for agency spokeswoman Carla Vigue. It now goes to a generic media line, which invites you to leave a message.

Haven't heard back yet.
