District Attorney blasts governor, layoff notice

As far as I can tell, Walker's letter went to all county DA's across the state.

Note the date is March 9-the Gov was scaring state employees (Wed night the deed was done, followed by the assembly -carving the union busting bill in stone.

County district attorney offices may be seeing layoffs (3/9/11)
Letter to Prosecutors

We've learned that county district attorney offices may be seeing layoffs, a direct result of Governor Scott Walker's (R-Wisconsin) Budget Repair Bill.

Eau Claire County District Attorney Rich White says this letter is part of a scare tactic and downright bad leadership on the governor's part.

In four short paragraphs, it tells prosecutors that layoffs are about to happen because of the delay in the passage of the Budget Repair Bill, and could happen as soon as April 4.

White accuses governor walker of being intentionally vague, and calls it a way of putting prosecutors in a position of being pawns in the governor's political game.

“His intent is to scare every single state employee and give every single state employee the impression that you may be laid off,” White said.

The letter says the number of affected employees is unknown.

White who, is a registered democrat, believes the governor knows or should know how the layoffs will happen, and should share that information with the workers. .......................
