Bachmann increasingly serious about presidential bid
By: CNN Political Reporter Peter Hamby

Washington (CNN) - Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann is increasingly serious about joining the wide-open race for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

And a growing number of conservative activists, legislators and political operatives in key states stand ready to help her if she does.

Bachmann, the chairwoman of the House Tea Party Caucus, arrives in New Hampshire on Friday for a two-day barnstorm of the first-in-the-nation primary state, her first foray there since floating her potential White House candidacy back in January.

News of the trip immediately stirred up grassroots excitement: A Bachmann-headlined fundraiser Saturday for the New Hampshire GOP was re-located to a larger venue because of "a very strong initial interest in this event," according to a state party official.

13. I'm surprised no one's alerted.
So much better on the eyes than "JEEEEEESUS is our Hallelujah!!1!1!!!" up there.

The most efficient commercial would be that face over horror music. Not that it would matter in her gerrymandered district.

4. Charlie Sheen has a better shot at it than this crazy loon.
What gets into the heads of these weird republicans that makes them think they are appealing and popular enough to win election to the presidency? And why is it always the most incompetent and buffoonish republicans who have the strongest faith in their own prospects for success?

7. This is what happens when someone never gets away from those that
support a candidate. Outside of her district, (and probably within it), she is seen by the general population as stupid, ignorant, not capable of getting away from talking points to actually have a thought of her own and a radical Christian fanatic.

Her chances of winning the nomination are slim, her chances of winning a general election for president are practically non-existent.

If Bachmann were to run,it would be a gift...:D

11. I thought her district might be merged after the census...
not sure if that is still in the works. As far as Minnesotans go, I have always thought they were a hardy stock and filled with good old Common Sense, one district does not reflect the state...:D

14. I was actually hoping her district would go.
If we had lost a rep (we didn't) her district would be the one that would get absorbed because it touches more (read is gerrymandered) districts than any other. We do have a Dem governor, but the GOP took the house and senate, so redistricting is going to be a battle.

With the binary world view of conservative (I'm right, you are wrong) compromise is getting neigh on impossible to obtain. The GOP is turning into a spoiled 6 year old, demanding their own way or they are going to hold their breath. I'm about to the point of wanting to help them hold their breath after they pass out...

15. I should think that the next election will be a real eye-opener for the GOP...
They have really overstepped and out played their hand. They all ran on "job creation", but have done nothing but push for draconian measures in social causes.

Every D and I that is worth their salt had better get off their duffs and send these bastards back to hell.

12. Palin made money by running.

Bachmann is following in her footsteps. She knows she doesn't have a ghost of
a chance but she can still make a buck off of books and speaking engagements.
