Republicans want to run government like a business. Not their business, but someone elses. |
|
The one thing you never hear about these CEO type politicians is how they're going to make government services more efficient for the public. That's what you would expect when a CEO takes over a company. They figure out how best to cater to their customers, making the necessary changes to make the system work more efficiently and cost-effectively. But that's not what they're doing. Instead, they step in like corporate raiders, selling off resources like it was a fire sale. Worse, they're passing on these resources to their cronies. What business leader does that?
So this should put an end to the myth that Republicans will run government like a business. That's not the correct description, unless their business is corporate raiding.

1. #1. CEO's all too often don't really try to cater to their customers |
|
The use the corporation to make profits for themselves and their small circle of management. Even if it means ripping the business apart.
#2. Conservative politicians are pretty much catering to their "customers" since their paying customers are the actual CEO's.

2. Actually, that is sound business practice. |
|
Businesses sell off assets and resources that do not fit their key business model all the time.
Especially if those assets are costing them money and can improve the bottom line.

4. I don't know too many CEOs who will cut their stock holder base, which is |
|
essentially what they do when they cut taxes. In fact, businesses are all about growth.

3. No they don't., Business's goal is to increase revenues |
|
Republicans have no desire to increase revenues. Their desire is to act as a hostile take over and strip assets.

5. That's what I'm say'n. |
|
They're corporate raiders. They're not going to leave us better off as a country because we're going to have gaping holes in services which we will all deal with one way or another.
