Polk County, FL sheriff removes basketball from jail, donates to churches

Polk Sheriff Grady Judd announced today that the county has almost completed the process of removing basketball paraphernalia from its jails. Basketball goals, posts and nets from the Central and South County jails will be donated to churches, according to the Sheriff's Office.

"I was tired of people driving by the jail and it looking like we were holding recreation for a bunch of criminals," Judd said.

This is the same sheriff who has taken it upon himself to begin arresting people who sell the legal product K2 (fake pot). Same sheriff who lured the author of the "pedophile guide" into sending him a copy of his book, then having him arrested on obscenity charges.

Looks like the Maricapo county sheriff has some competition for Sheriff of the Year.
