Gamer called EA "Devil", got banned from playing Dragon Age II (single-player game!)
From Gamepur:
EA has banned a gamer named "VWARE" from accessing his legally purchased copy of Drgaon Age 2. The only crime VWARE committed, accussed Bioware for "selling their souls to the EA devil".

The publisher has banned user from the official forum for 72 hours as well as blocked his Bioware social account. Check out the complaint VWARE posted after receiving the ban:

More, including both the message from the user and confirmation from Bioware at the link. So, the key here is the player was (and still is) prevented from playing his single player game for a relatively tame bit of bitching on their forums. That's pretty bad. EA are a bunch of shit-heads but you sometimes have to wonder why they seem to go out of their way to make such a demonstration of it.

Here is a link to the message referenced in the article, HERE.

There is quite a bit of disgust from Bioware fans about this, mainly in this thread titled You cannot in good faith limit a persons ability to play a game because of a forum post.

1. Sounds like an overreaction from
a Customer Service Rep. Depending on the game CSR's can be real dicks, SOE used to have and probably still does have some of the worst though.

2. I had never heard of this type of action for a SINGLE-player game though.
Just nasty, especially given its $60-ish dollar pricetag. Have you heard of similar action involving activation of single player games, specifically?
