Who Will Take the Mantle of Leader in the Coming Years? |
|
There's no doubt anymore that the corporate power structure has dug in and has no intention of letting up until they see every union destroyed. Michael Moore is right DU...this is a Class War being waged against the American people. Scott Walker has exposed that much, it's not a theory anymore. But unlike Egypt and Tunisia which brought change without any real leadership, I think we'll need much more organization here in America if we want to compete against the cronies we put into power. We have to organize our money with a headquarters, pamphlets and books, we need leaders who aren't going to sellout and can relay our anger and passion like no one else. Michael Moore is a good candidate, and there are already very good Progressive organizations. Times have got to change DU. How long do these plutocrats and their enablers think this can go on without some sort of pushback? They have to be fools if they think this will go unchallenged.

1. Preferably someone that really doesn't want to do it but does it because |
|
they know they can and does it as a service because it is the right thing to do.

I lament the condition of our culture arising out of decades of increasing authoritarian indoctrination ... we're increasingly seeking "leadership" (someone to tell us what to do.) From parentalism to a factory-method school system to the autocratic halls of corporate America, we're well-trained in looking about for a boss, parent, teacher, or just a cop to direct us. Have we so lost the sense of self-determination that we're helpless without a secular Messiah?
Sad.

5. I wouldn't use the word messiah...and I agree with the above poster who said |
|
preferably someone who doesn't want it. The last thing we want is a showman or a con artist. But we've seen the value of having a leadership in past movements. Especially if this is to become a movement across the U.S.
