It was said they were going to get the brint of the hit. :( At lease the damage in Santa Cruz was just property.

3. Crescent City took a big hit
in 1964, also, when the Good Friday quake struck Alaska. That seems to be a particularly vulnerable spot.

We got the tsunami warnings here on TV last night around midnight for the Aleutians and Dutch Harbor. I think the waves were about five feet out there.

I just tried to go to the store, and ran into a barricade. My realtor couldn't get home to eat lunch.

A 9.0 on the Richter scale is huge.

Oh yeah, and people were getting personal phone calls. Mutliple calls from some agency to evacuate. Pretty amazing.
