Virtual Vietnam Wall. Amazing web site.......
Thought this was worth passing on. Most of us were either in the war or knew someone (friend or family member) who died while serving in Vietnam. It's great someone took the time to do this but sad so many lost their lives.

Virtual Vietnam Wall
First click on a state. When it opens, scroll down to the city and the names will appear. Then click on their names. It should show you a picture of the person, or at least their bio and medals.
This really is an amazing web site. Someone spent a lot of time and effort to create it.
I hope that everyone who receives this appreciates what those who served in Vietnam sacrificed for our country.
The link below is a virtual wall of all those lost during the Vietnam war with the names, bio's and other information on our lost heroes. Those who remember that time frame, or perhaps lost friends or family can look them up on this site. Pass the link on to others, as many knew wonderful people whose names are listed.

Here is the one I personally knew. Vincent F. Sabatinelli, Southbridge, Massachusetts. RIP Vinny.

1. I checked my former home state.
So sad.

Our hardest hit cities are Newark, Trenton and Jersey City. The poor who were drafted and had no connections.

Thanks for the link.

6. As much as I hate to say it
It should be a reminder to all. I think one problem we have now is many Americans weren't even around when the war was raging. If they were, I think there would be far more outrage about the 2 illegal, immoral wars we're fighting now.

The Long Binh Post just outside Saigon was the Army's largest logistics base in Vietnam. At about 2 AM, 23 Feb 1969, the post received large-caliber rocket fire, followed by a ground attack. A small number of enemy soldiers penetrated the post perimeter before being hunted down and killed. Overall, 7 US servicemen were killed and 31 wounded, while 132 enemy troops were killed and 6 captured. The American dead were

* LTC William W. Dickey, Glen Ellyn, IL, HQ Bn, USARV Special Troops, Army HQ Area Cmd
* MAJ Richard J. Curry, Altoona, PA, HHC, Long Binh Post
* CPT John S. Wilson, Belen, NM, HHB, 5th Bn, 2nd Artillery (Silver Star)
* SP5 Thomas R. Preston, Parma, OH, HHC, Long Binh Post
* SP5 Jon P. Robbins, Dickinson, ND, 56th Army Postal Unit, USAG Long Binh
* SP4 Robert J. Blaut, Silver Grove, KY, A Co, 46th Eng Bn, 159th Eng Group
* SP4 Robert D. Eickleberry, Liberty, IL, 512th QM Co, 64th QM Bn

Yeah ... that part of the post perimeter was where I was. Three got through about 150 yds to the east of my position. I knew LTC Dickey.
