I just don't feel it right now. I'm glad we're sending such a formidable resource to Japan to help out, and that's what's really important right now.

6. You don't see the irony in naming an airport after that sorry bastard?
Sure, it's a sick and twisted sort of irony, but still...

8. "We're from the Government and we're here to help"
Weren't those the 9 most frightening words in the English language?

18. I think its was "I'm" rather than "we're", but that's definitely what makes the irony
It's also a pretty solid refutation of the 'Reagan philosophy' when a ship with his name proves his comment so thoroughly misguided...

13. After all the bad things he did in his life, good that something good
Edited on Fri Mar-11-11 04:51 PM by forty6
comes out of this in his and our names.....!!!

Yeah, I hated the guy, ever since Berkeley...now maybe his soul gets out of purgatory a few days earlier...(if some believe in all that stuff!) ...

America should send the USS Obama...(not even on the drafting boards yet)....but in 100 years, this current, imperfect, first bi-racial President will be as good an image of America as Lincoln is to us now.

Reagan will be all but forgotten as is Franklin Pierce...(on second thought, maybe he will dwell with Nixon and Bush2, worst EVER!)
