Regulators close minority-owned Legacy Bank
Bank started in 1999 by three African-American women

Legacy Bank, which opened 12 years ago with a goal of providing more financial services to Milwaukee's central city, failed Friday and was closed by state regulators.
*snip*
Legacy Bank opened its doors in the summer of 1999 after three African-American women - Deloris Sims, Margaret J. Henningsen and Shirley J. Lanier - worked to raise $5 million in start-up capital. Among the bigger investors was Firstar Bank, as a $1 million contributor.

I love the slap back at them when a poster points out that their taxes also went to bail out the BIG banks, but they never bitched about that.
