The Japan earth quake just knocked the Wisconsin coverage OFF the air |
|
Don't get me wrong its very tragic but I'm more interested in whats going on in Wisconsin because it impacts us hear on top of that Haiti hasn't even recovered from its earthquake and the media says NOTHING about it so I'm not interested in 24hr.wall to wall coverage on Japan .

5. You are correct, even without the earthquate, they were not going to give it major coverage. After |
|
the last 10 years we should know that by now

7. I continue to be confused by the M$M. What entity, person, whatever |
|
decides what we see or don't see? I do know that tv is not very good...a lot of pretty heads that seem convinced they are up to date and doing a stellar job. :banghead:

the average American's attention span can only handle one major story. 24 hours a day. The more sensational the better. Big disasters are killer cable news material. Before that, uprisings SOMEWHERE ELSE. Before that, the shooting of a congresswomen. According to them, in the last three months, there have only been three major news stories.

3. I'm interested in both. |

Right now I am worried more about the Japanese citizens. It's horrible what happened over there. Wisconsin and Walker will be there tomorrow and next week but many humans and animals in Japan will not be.

11. Some Of Us Can Multi-Task |

I saw news reports on both Wisconsin and Libya (not very good, but news nonetheless) along with coverage of what's going on in Japan. Thanks to DU and the many dedicated eyes and keyboards there's been a steady stream of stories about what's going on in Wisconsin. Just look around...and the same goes for other Progressive sites.
I'm going to head up to north suburban Milwaukee later this morning...we've got more petitions to move and sign. That's where this story is right now...organizing, communicating and working together.
Be assured many of us have not forgotten what happened...and that's especially the case for those living in America's Dairyland.
The corporate media isn't the news. You and I are...
