CNN Contributor Dana Loesch Compares Secretary Sebelius To ‘Terrorists’

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has been pushing a “revelation” that she discovered $105 billion in mandatory spending included in the health reform law. However, the spending she is referring to was openly discussed in congressional hearings and by the congressional budget office on multiple occasions. On Dana Loesch’s Tuesday broadcast of her radio show, Bachmann gave an interview discussing the issue. Responding to Bachmann’s manufactured controversy, Loesch compared negotiating with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and other health reform advocates to negotiating with “terrorists.” Bachmann didn’t skip a beat, and continued on with the conversation:

BACHMANN: Kathleen Sebelius has a sixteen billion-dollar slush fund to do with as she will. <...> It’s another reason we have to repeal Obamacare, and another reason we have to defund it. But they decided they were smarter than all of us, and they surreptitiously or deceitfully hid that $105 billion dollars and I say give the money back.

I can't stand this smart mouth Biotch!!!

One faction wants to funnel tax dollars directly into the gaping maw of their insurance industry funders, and call it "healthcare reform".

The other faction is batshit insane.

I assume I'm meant to defend the frauds from the lunatics here because of their team jerseys, but I'm sorry... I just don't care to.

6. #1. Insurance companies ALREADY get the money. #2. The Reform clearly allows you to opt out

and pay a small fraction.

I will repeat that, the reforms as passed ALLOW YOU TO OPT OUT AND PAY A FRACTION OF THE COST.

And if everyone did that, we'd be on the road to Single Payer.

And since Obama just allowed some states to actually implement Single Payer if it saves them money, it will definitely help bring about Single Payer more quickly than doing nothing.

11. Why don't you supporters get this? Health insurance is not health CARE.
For crying out loud, it's been repeated a million motherfucking times. My own aunt just died of cancer because her health insurance provider refused to pay for basic, regular screenings that would've likely warned her in time to prevent the cancer from getting hold. I could give you three other very similar stories of people I know-- or rather knew-- personally.

Very often, the health insurance industry actually ended up being more of a roadblock to healthcare than having no insurance at all would've been. People who don't have much extra money spend it on insurance premiums, then, when they need treatment, they're told they must either pay for it themselves, or their deductible is so high that they skip certain treatments.

Health insurance is not health care. Mandating people buy health insurance does absolutely jack fucking shit to provide access to healthCARE.

It must be easy to make a buck supporting right-wing nonsense. You don't have to think too much.

9. Kudos to Paul Begala (on Real Time with Bill Maher last night)
for responding to Loesch's absurd pitch by calling her "Batshit Bachmann". Poor little Dana looked soooooooo sad at that. :fistbump:

She was an awful guest and ruined the show for me. I was really looking forward to hearing from Paul Begala, but Dana wouldn't let anyone else talk. I can handle diverse opinions, but this woman is really ignorant.

24. That is why she loves to go on...
Cnn especially Anderson Cooper she runs her damn mouth and tries to run the time out and talks over the other guests so they can't get their points across, then this REGRESSIVE laughs and brags about the TEABAGGERS by the way where in the hell are the TEABAGGERS in Wisconsin, aren't they suppose to be the majority??

28. I've noticed especially on Real Time
that the conservative guests tend to filibuster every discussion. I frequently end up yelling at the TV, as they won't let anyone else talk. Besides being sorely misinformed, they're extremely rude.

Hmmmm, I haven't noticed any teabaggers in Wisconsin either.

15. I now associate the pundits chosen by CNN with CNN - it's intentional
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 01:07 PM by upi402
I remember the bogus NAFTA "debates" on CNN. The agenda was like a full on ad campaign. And there was flat out character assassination of opponents of NAFTA. often, the balance was 'man on the street' interviews which amounted to a bone-headed statement that embarrassed anti-NAFTA side.

CNN sucks but it's all we have after Friday evening on cable TV. Gobless 'muhrica
