"Fred"(erika) Whitfield was interviewing this expert on nuclear plants. So he says that cooling with seawater is a desperation measure and that's why he's so concerned. "Fred" replies, "What do you think they should be doing instead?" or words to that effect. The gentleman replied to the question by saying that he wasn't saying that they were doing anything wrong, just that there was nothing else they could do, and THAT'S why they were using seawater, that it was problematic beyond the scope of anything TO DO. She looked perplexed.
Fact of the matter is that these people stuffed into anchor chairs really don't 'get it', they're intellectually incapable of processing anything like complex thought or any words which are not cliches or sound-bites. Shame.

9. I had MSNBC on at the time |
|
But last night Rachel's coverage of this was hair raising with her no nonsense interview. And things have gotten worse since then.
I was watching CNN earlier this morning and found the news reader at that hour to be no better than what you described here. They ask a question, the response is frightening and the host stays maddeningly neutral and clueless. Then they cut to commercials which seem just so meaningless.
Business as usual is bullshit. They still keep playing the explosion over and over and over. So which is it? Are we f'd or should we just go shopping? the disconnect is driving me nuts.

I was like WTF? The Heritage foundation? But what do you expect, he was being interviewed by Alex Witt who is a complete shill and empty glass. The Heritage Foundation? Yeah, I accept their take on Nuclear Power Plants. Fucking ComCast. Like we didn't know THIS was coming.

4. I'm surprised they're reporting anything at all about the nuclear power plant |
|
You mean the Koch Brothers haven't shut them up yet? Don't these people know that nuclear power is a gift from God, just like unbridled capitalism, and that they're not supposed to ask pesky questions about it? And to a scientist? Do these commies want the unwashed masses to get a clue?
