"Good, I hope they reduce the budget for the FDA and FTC as well..." |
|
"...maybe it will allow more businesses to create more jobs!"
I swear to you, this was a comment left on my facebook page from a wingnut acquaintance of mine...
Is this REALLY what they believe?!

2. I've run into small business owners who say if their taxes were lower, they'd hire more workers. |
|
:wow:
Yeah, right...I'm not an economist but I do know that only an increase in business will result in hiring more workers.
If you cut their taxes, they just pocket the money. "Trickle Down" taught us that!

4. Probably depends on their market and how good business is. |
|
If a business can make more money in sales than they can by paying an extra employee, then they'll hire that extra worker. They'd probably do that up until they've saturated the available market, which based on the current economy, may have already happened.

3. Cutting budgets = cutting staff. Regulations remain that fewer staff must implement. |
|
The same workload gets distributed among fewer staff which results in even longer processing time for permits and inspections.
