CNN Intn'l seem to be reporting different news about reactor than CNN on cable.
Just got back from some Saturday chores, listening to CNN International/XM in the car. They're pretty openly talking about cesium being detected in the reactor and what that means, about seawater being pumped in, etc. I come home, CNN is on cable and they're still saying that no one really knows what's happening, that just the building exploded and the reactor is okay. Then they cut to more exciting video clips of the tsunami. Very little substance on CNN America compared to CNN Intn'l, which appears to be at least trying.

BTW: I despise CNN America as a news source, second only to Fox (sorry, I don't agree that they're the same; Fox is a deliberate bullshit act pulled on the people of the United States for the purpose of propping up the GOP, capitalizing on fear, and controlling the economic and power structures of the United States -- which translates into $$$ for Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes and their 1% ilk. But dammit, I can only take so much of MSNBC weekend...I swear, it's being run out of the Community Access Studio at my local cable provider. I keep waiting for MSNBC to ask Charlie Sheen to comment on the earthquake.

1. CNN International seems to be aimed at business people,
while CNN America seems to be aimed at air heads.

CNN YOOESSAAAYY makes fairy tales of the news & shows lots of pictures...

I figured out all I needed to know about CNN waay back when Blitzer interrupted a senate hearing one time to say :
(I'm paraphrasing, except for the last bit I'll bold)

"Well this hearing is going to go on for a while, so we'll watch it for you so you don't have to.. we'll tell you if anything important happens"

That's "our" CNN... watching stuff for us, so we don't have to...

2. LOL 'waiting to for MSNBC to ask Charlie Sheen to comment on the earthquake."
Great post. I agree with what you say about CNN so much so I cancelled cable three years since the only reason I had cable was for news but CNN had become a joke. I didn't think it could slip further down but I was wrong.

On the west coast, we need to know. People who know folks in the area need to know. But the news has been cancelled.

4. The day CNN met our Marines on the beaches of Iraq, is the
day real mainstream journalism died in America.
