I would like to let you all know everything is fine at Fukushima nuclear power plant. |
|
The reactors all shut down in the case of an emergency, and nothing went wrong.
Ooops!
Looks like the containment building just exploded, because the core melted down a little.
I just want you to see the disparity between those two statements. This is why we should not have nuclear power. We simply cannot trust the managing authority to either know everything that happened fast enough to react, build a system that's "foolproof" just in case we humans cannot react fast enough to changing situations, or simply tell the truth.
Nuclear power might be safe, but we humans are fucking lying douche bags.

3. You mean it just exploded right now? |

I read the walls blew off, but the iron framework was still in place and the primary containment area is still sealed off...then I read the core blew up and shot out and is sitting (well was last night) in the courtyard!!!
Talk about two completely contradictory statements!

9. "There's no need to worry these containment buildings are built to take an impact from a plane!" |

12 hours later, the containment building disintegrated into a big ass dust cloud.
I guess they meant a model airplane!
I feel safe, because God knows our buildings probably aren't half as a safe as the Japanese buildings, because we're Americans and we like to fuck up anything, including nuclear power, and they're Japanese, they have cities from the future.

10. Don't get so excited. |

It was just a tiny little explosion, and radiation is GOOD for you. If it wasn't, they wouldn't use it to kill Cancer! DUH!
