6. Ugh.... no, no, it's too soon!
I like that it stays light later but don't like it in the morning when it stays dark so late. It just feels too soon to me for this. I know they changed it in recent years from the 1st weekend in April to the 3rd weekend in March saying that it was an energy-saving measure... something that makes zero sense to me.

At least it's a little easier to go ahead one hour in the springtime.

8. This is so stupid
Is it really "standard time" if we only use it four months per year? This isn't saving us any energy. I wish Obama would change it back to the traditional dates.

17. Yeah, I always found that odd...
There's also:

Hawaii and most of Arizona do not follow daylight- savings time. The Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona DOES observe daylight saving time; the rest of Arizona does not. And the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa do not observe DST. The Eastern Time Zone section of Indiana also does not observe DST

23. Fuck, again?
Shit shit shit shit shit.

Make me Chronological Supervisor for a day and I'll get the US times zones back in order. #1, no more daylight savings time. Fuck daylight, we have plenty of it, I don't care if it leaks a little around the edges. #2, all of New England goes on Atlantic Standard Time. At least it will help with traffic on I-95 in Connecticut. #3, I'll fix that dumbass border between Central and Western times zones up by the Dakotas. What possible combinations of illegal drugs caused THAT mess?

29. Here is Wiki's info
Daylight saving time was established by the Act of March 19, 1918, sometimes called the Standard Time Act. The Act was intended to save electricity for seven months of the year, during World War I.<3> DST was repealed in 1919, though, but standard time in time zones remained in law, with the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) having the authority over time zone boundaries. Daylight time became a local matter.

During World War II, Congress enacted the War Time Act (56 Stat. 9) on January 20, 1942. Year-round DST was reinstated in the United States on February 9, 1942, again as a wartime measure to conserve energy resources.<4> This remained in effect until after the end of the war. The Amendment to the War Time Act (59 Stat. 537), enacted September 25, 1945, ended DST as of September 30, 1945. During this period, the official designation War Time was used for year-round DST. For example, Eastern War Time (EWT) would be the equivalent of Eastern Daylight Time during this period
