Meg Whitman ‘Definitely Not’ Planning 2012 Senate Bid
Source: Wall Street Journal

Meg Whitman, former eBay CEO and the unsuccessful 2010 Republican candidate for California governor, said she is “definitely not” considering a Senate bid in 2012, though she wants to find ways to shape public policy.

“I want to stay involved in public policy,” Ms. Whitman said in an interview Friday evening. “Now I see things in a way that I” had not prior to running for public office, she said.

... Ms. Whitman has been adding a growing number of board positions to her resume in recent months. In January, she was appointed to the board of Hewlett-Packard amid a shake-up following the 2010 ouster of Mark Hurd. In February, she was appointed to the boards of Procter & Gamble and Zipcar, and earlier this month, she joined the board of Teach for America.
