MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker a potential 2012 veep?
You have to be amazed with MSNBC following the Comcast purchase the fire Keith Olbermann, and now they simultaneously push the public is fed up with Unions meme while promoting extrene right wing candidates for 2012. I am sure the corporate media will also pay folks to launch attacks from the left and assert that there is no difference between President Obama and any other Republican. Heck, the Koch brother has a PR firm to manipulate web postings to support their corporate agenda.

Although it was politically messy, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker achieved a policy victory this week by reforming how public sector unions operate in his state. And although he has taken a barrage of attacks from the left, in the long run could his star be on the rise?

On this weekend’s broadcast of “The McLaughlin Group,” MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan suggested Walker’s status is elevated and explained why – because President Barack Obama got involved, but came out on the losing end.

“It’s defining for Walker and it’s defining for the country for this reason: Obama got up to right into his ears. He declared there’s an assault upon unions. He had his organization working it. They had massive demonstrations in the Capitol – chanting, beating drums. They had the state legislators leave. It’s a big battle in the country. Everybody is watching it. No doubt, Walker got himself hurt a little bit in the battle. But John , he won this thing. Mayors and governors across America are looking at this because at the state level pay and benefits for public employees – that’s the big problem. If you don’t deal with that, you don’t solve the problem.”

Although polls suggest Walker is struggling in the court of public opinion, should they rebound, he could be a potential running mate for the 2012 Republican nominee.

3. Wanker Has Bigger Problems Ahead...
Now that he's busted the unions, he's got no one to blame for the problems that will ensue. The GOTB playbook is to drain public coffers dry through outsourcing (paybacks to their big kochroach contributors) or watching cities and counties have to downscale or eliminate services. From the polls and the large number of people gladly willing to sign recall petitions (and I saw them firsthand yesterday) this dude better walk on water or make money fall from the sky cause now any slip up or "crisis" has his name all over it and will easily pick at some very sore scabs.

Wanker has given a face to the lies and deceit electing rushpublicans bring. There are many "independents" out there who were pissed at Obama and the Democrats and now are seeing what the alternative is and not liking it. The over reaching by the rushpublicans are delighting their 30% dead-enders but its going to come back to bite them in the ass next year. Between the ugly infighting that is sure to lead up to their nomination next year and the over-reaching of the various teabagger governors, voters will get a clearer and clearer picture as to what awaits should they get control of the Senate and/or executive.

4. The unions are a long way from busted in Wisconsin.
A huge court battle is shaping up and the recalls will move along swiftly.

5. Yes They Will...
I saw it first-hand yesterday...I met many "independents" and those who voted for Wanker but now feel they got sold a bill of goods. Almost everyone we met had a family member or close friend who was in a union being busted and were more than happy to sign the petitions to recall their toadie state senator. My bets are we exceeded the number of signatures needed to assure Alberta Darling's recall and we're probably going back next weekend to get more.

The goal is to challenge the legality of both the bill and the way it was enacted...hopefully giving us the four or so months it'll take to get Darling recalled and a Democrat to replace her. Hopefully we'll see this is three other districts and turn Wanker into a lame duck...then work on his recall next year. First things first...

7. here we go
just like with Palin, the press will be pumping Walker up into some sort of hero.

We already have endless Koch-funded anti-Union ads running just constantly.

GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STATE!!!

I think, as has been said, the sleeping giant has been awakened. I seriously can't imagine any candidate would want Walker onboard, with all the baggage he'd bring.

But of course, these people never cease to amaze me with their arrogance and lack of empathy, so I could be way off base.
