The real fight in Wisconsin began today.
I live in Madison, I've been down to the Capitol these last several weekends but today was something different.
The crowd was bigger than any previous day but that wasn't what made it different.

The "budget repair" bill has been passed. Walker is celebrating in DC tonight. Maybe he thinks this is over.

But here in Madison today people understood what's happening as well as everyone on this board does. They really do see it.

When the 14 Senators who returned from Illinois spoke in front of this huge crowd there was a sense of unity, a sense that yes we're absolutely together on this. It was something I've never seen in politics before. Such a simple, honest, powerful unity.

Even thinking about Obama's speeches - he was here in Madison a while ago and gave a stirring speech. It meant something to people here. It meant something. But today in Madison it was different.

Today at the Capitol, in this huge crush of people, I looked around the signs, at the faces, at the people from young to old, and they all get it.

I couldn't help but feel that this fight is just beginning.

6. want to keep up the pressure..
I suggest do something about it.. I live out of state, so I contributed money to the recall campaign.. In state one can give of either their money or time.. Recall petitions are labor intensive..

2. Agreed.
I'll be honest. I knew we weren't going to win this. I knew they would find some way to pass this, either through trickery or by doing something so heinous one of the Dems would be forced to come back to prevent it.

At the same time, though, I knew this was part of a much larger battle. And I'm ready to fight it. And seeing the faces on the people downtown today, I can see that many of them are ready to keep this up as long as we can.

They won the battle, but we will win the war. Tyrants always fall.

Take control of the legislature.

That will slow them down and send a powerful message.
