The devastation is far worse than can be seen from the close-ups we've see, entire areas scoured of the planet...:(

3. Not sure which pic you are referring to...
but in the Ishinomaki pic, they appear to be industrial buildings; in the Yuriage they appear to be apartment buildings.

4. Interesting how in the first picture the sewage treatment plant in the bottom left
appear to remain in tact.

I don't know how anyone could live that close to one of those.

If you put your mouse pointer over the center dividing line in each photo, you can drag that dividing line to the left or right.
