Let's be perfectly clear. |
|
Japan's building codes saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
Regulation does work. When a 9.0 hit, every tall building, every office complex, every condo project remained standing. Only the tsunami caused such horrible suffering and damage.
and our fucking GOP wants to get government out of . . . government. Deregulation. Cutting standards. Using nonunion labor.
This should be a warning to all of us. Regulations save lives.

8. to some degree, but who would you trust more? |
|
some guy who picked up electrical training by the contact he had on one job, or a union guy certified, trained, tested, and capable?
Or what weld on a nuke plant piping system would you trust more? A guy who has welding equipment in his garage, like me, or a union guy who was taught stainless, high chrome, precise welding techniques that pass all x-ray tests?
regulations and union labor go hand in hand.
