I can't believe there were people driving over that bridge even after the boat was swept under it.

Some crazy shit going on there.

7. The video caught glimpses of people driving on the road
They probably had no idea what was coming just seconds later. So sad.

6. They are pulling many bodies out of flooded cars
the drivers had no chance.

I live in the Seattle, Wa area and there was a snippet that said that when the next big one hit's this area it will be of the same magnitude as the Japan earthquake and Tsunami.

11. Wonder what people were thinking after the quake hit.
Edited on Sun Mar-13-11 02:41 PM by BadgerKid
Apparently it was at least 1.5 hours before the tsunami hit (ref: http://www.livescience.com/13180-japan-tsunami-earthquake-explained.html).

Edit: Maybe only 30 minutes according to one horrible account (ref: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x634351)

14. Some of those boats, cars, and buildings that were swept away and slammed into other things
would undoubtedly have had people in them. I dread the ultimate body count. It is going to get much, much worse, I fear.

19. Here is another tsunami vid taken at almost eye level as the water rises.
Simply breath taking. It is quite like actually being there.

A 2nd watching improves the viewer's orientation of the street and clearly shows that the person taking the video began shooting at ground level, then gradually had to climb a stairway as the water continued to rise.
