"Gun-toting, God-fearing Conservative that you are afraid of."
Not the exact quotation of the bumper sticker, but I was next to this big pickup truck (oddly enough, for a conservative, it was an "American-Made" Chevy Silverado ... not what you'd expect from some "No Government Motors" type) in traffic this afternoon, in a notorious stretch of poor planning.
Route 18 in Montrose/Fairlawn Ohio ... trying to get through an intersection via the traffic lights. Dealing with a lot of the traffic around the local Wal-Mart (which, by the way, is planning to move about half a mile away, because the parking lot they could expand to to make a "super-WalMart" apparently isn't big enough, even though it now accommodates not only Wally-World, but a Sam's Club, Giant Eagle, and a lot of other shops).
So, the traffic is inching through the intersection ... again, due to poor planning, the left-turn arrows allow a few cars through, then turns red ... and a quarter mile away, the traffic light dealing with that traffic turns red, so there's a number of cars in the intersection with no place to go, even with three lanes of traffic each way.
So, the Silverado next to me, after the 3rd or 4th light sequence, decides (a few seconds after the light turns red) that he doesn't have to abide by the law that says you can't run a red light.
That, my friends, is breaking the law. As I saw it, he was in a big f*cking hurry to get to another shop just about 50 yards past the intersection.
