Swan Song... I Dunno... But After Watching 60 Minutes...
I really couldn't care less anymore.

We have proof that the War in Iraq was based on a phony-assed lie. Not news, yet vindication.

Thank you, Curveball.

We have proof that that we may be ingesting illegal/and possibly poisonous prescription drugs.

Thank you, Pharama. (Yes, their pricing insures that this happens.)

And teachers... NOBODY goes into it for the money...

And the reality of teaching is NOT being told!

And who stands up for the average American... NOBODY!!!

1. A kick, but no rec but no unrec either.
The pharma thing would have gotten you the unrec the rest would have gotten you a rec.

But you do get the kick.

3. It was really dullsville tonight.
The segment on the charter school was the most interesting segment for me. Wasn't it just *fascinating* that this school's test scores were no better than the regular public schools! HA!

7. That drug issue is something I've been aware of for quite a while.
And did you know that if you use over-the-counter Zicam that you will never again smell anything? Food. Flowers. Rain. Your own body. Nothing.

AND THAT SHIT IS APPROVED FOR SALE OVER THE COUNTER! I have totally lost my ability to smell anything with its odor. Now everything with a smell to it smells like rotten onions. You have no idea how awful it is to lose your sense of smell. Whatever happened to "the right to persue happiness" that was listed in the bill of rights? My olfactory happiness didn't count, like so many millions of others who have this problem.

9. A few points. Zicam gel was the subject of an FDA warning to the
public in 2009, and the gel products are not currently on the market as a result. This is in spite of the fact that the nature of the ingredients place it outside the FDA's enforcement powers, that is it needed and had no approval, and they also could not remove it from the market. Still, they issued a warning to the public and asked the company to withdraw it. I do not see it available in the US at all. Maybe it is. But the FDA actually did act, when they actually did not have to. For what that's worth.
That should be good news, if not exactly new breaking news.

17. They still sell the non-zinc formulations of Zicam
Which seem kind of pointless, since they were selling zinc as the key to its efficacy.

My dad experienced some neuropathy which he attributes to the zinc in his denture sealant - he was lucky that it stopped when he stopped using it.

Sorry for your problems, loudsue.

20. There was a class action law suit about the zinc in denture sealant.
Fixodent "settled" the lawsuit, with no admission, continues to sell zinc product.

Poligrip offers "zinc free"
product along with its "original" formula containing zinc.

The lawsuit stories at the time blamed the victim, stating they had been using large amounts of sealant for
improperly fitted dentures, altho there was and still is NO warning about zinc in the products.

13. The unspoken story was about desperate people
Why do people buy pills/meds from overseas? Because they cost so much here. There's a profit, a huge profit, to be made from desperate people by the greedy. There are the greedy overseas who scam the desperate and then there's Big Pharm and the so-called health care industry that keep the prices of meds high and prescribe them.

That's what I was thinking when I finally gave up on watching 60 Minutes and their slanted propaganda tonight.

15. He admitted that he lied to the intelligence agencies
Basically said that the information he gave about Iraq's weapons program was bogus. The US govt never had any corroborating evidence. Just a bunch of statements from this one guy.

Also, many people within the CIA thought curveball was full of shit, but their criticism was shut down.

18. The "Who" is "US"!!
This is our achilles heel, we are always waiting for someone else to take the lead.

You, I and others can take the lead to stand up for others.

What do we do? We get disheartened, some of us tell others not to vote, we pout and complain about the Republicans kicking our asses. Well the truth is they kick our ass because we have allowed them too. That's right I said it....

This is not a game, Wisconsin citizens have proven that they will impact change and they are not quitting. They will recall the Repub senators.

We have allowed the Republicans to screw us for 30 years and they have peaked...WE need to take advantage of it. How?

Start locally

Vote Democratic or Moderate candidates into your schoolboards and local governments
Actively participate in your town meetings and make your voice heard...(Many of us have not bothered showing up, which has been interpreted as Republicans representing the populace.

If you hate President Obama and you are calling for a primary, think about the implications. You think this country is dire straits now...Vote in a Republican...go for it....You think what these Repug Governers are doing is bad, well vote against President Obama and you will set the stage for a Supreme Court that is more Convervative than it is today.

The bottom line is if WE ALL would have shown up at the polls in November Wisconsin and other states wouldn't be going through this.
