This kind of thing makes me slightly hopeful about America. Bradley Manning, of course, hasn’t had a trial. But it’s obvious that many of the people who think they favor what’s being done to him don’t actually realize this. They take it for granted that in the United States of America punishment is for people who’ve been put on trial and convicted of crimes.

1. It's a sad day when people like John C want our government to act like the countries
that he points out would not give him a fair trial. So he wants us to be more like Russia or China? It's almost like a parody of American values.

5. The USA is no longer a Nation of law or justice.
Sad but obvious.

Wish I knew how to fix but I will die first unless there is a very positive shift.
