I have never condoned its use, ever. I never will.

It was horrifying when the Bush administration used it. It was just another strike against him and everything he stood for.

But now?

Obama condones it.

Our Democratic President, the one we had so much hope for, so many dreams ...

I am sickened beyond belief.


He is ordering this in our names.


Where does it end?

So much abuse, so many wrong-headed ideas.

I weep for my country...

And all of us living in it.

Yes, he has done some very good things and I acknowledge that, but some things - torture, indefinite detention, demolition of the fourth amendment, endless war? We were hoping for better.

and to think that we had very big hopes for the man leading us, this man who now accepts torture.

It's not who we are, no matter how anyone tries to justify it. It's not who we are.

We are not savages.

We are a nation of laws.

24. "Where does it end" is a great question, in functional societies it ends with convictions

and jail time. In our society it leads to more and more crimes as criminal behavior is the norm. If just a few people were held accountable via trials and convictions it would have a massive effect on overall regulation and enforcement in what used to be a cherished America.

who are either silent or who support Bush's policies. It was a mistake to have placed our hopes in them.
