Hey, Koch, was the last time a member of the Forbes 400 Club of the Superreich did this?
Firefighters were called to the four-story building on 61st Street in Sunset Park just before 5:15 a.m.

It took crews more than two hours to get the flames under control.

Fire officials say 33 people were injured, including nine firefighters.

Four people were hospitalized with critical injuries and another four with serious injuries.

Despite the injuries, fire officials say quick work prevented fatalities.

"The large occupant load of the building, they did a wonderful job removing everybody out of that building, their path of escape was trapped to the firemen in the stairways and they had to be removed by portable ladders, aerial ladders and bucket trucks,” said FDNY Deputy Chief Richard Howe. “The units on the scene did an outstanding job getting everybody out. It was a good day for the Fire Department helping people."

1. Why would they?
To them, the occupants of the apartment are mostly useless eaters.

7. "Just in time" meets the labor force.
You only need to keep enough unproductive eaters around to make the workforce paranoid about losing their jobs.

4. Sounds like another great job by Union firefighters
They are true American heroes who risk their lives almost daily. And the koch brothers and others like them want to eliminate collective bargaining for these great men and women. Let's hope the koch bros. never ever need firefighters to save their assets, or is it asses? But I'm sure if one of their mansions was on fire, the firefighters would bust their tails to try and douse it without any fatalities. SOLIDARITY!

6. IMO firefighters can never be paid enough
People who are brave enough to willingly run into the danger that everyone else is (sensibly) fleeing represent the best that the human race has to offer.

9. Koch Brothers, at least two of them, don't care about the people.
They want to get rid of fire departments because they can pay for a private service dedicated to the Koch Brothers.

11. Risking your life...
... is for "lesser people".

Firefighters
Law Enforcement Officers
Members of the Armed Services

etc.
