Why aren't MOST DU articles calling for
massive "civil disobedience?" I thought that most of "us" were fed up with our "wall street government." We have discovered that voting does not change the things we really want changed. There is not even a way to verify our votes.
IMO, the next step is (at least) to inundate our forums with calls to take drastic (non-violent) action. We need a majority of posts asking people to act. Until this happens, "action" against the policies that are destroying us are less likely to happen.
Am I just "the fringe" and the majority does not believe that we must act?

1. We're getting there. You know what Adm. Yamamoto said about us Americans? Slow to rouse, but when

fully provoked, we are an awesome adversary. He called us a "sleeping giant" as he contemplated the consequences of the attack on Pearl Harbour he was planning.

I wouldn't want to be on the other side when the American middle-class has finally "had enough." Step by step toward the brink.

2. In Wisconsin, we are winning this battle through peaceful protest...
... nothing would hurt our cause more than an act of violence for Fox Noise to run 24 X 7.

The hubris of the right has finally awoken the giant.

5. Exactly, that is why the OP calls for
"non-violent action."
Another reason, America spends more than the combination of all other nations on "defense."
Calling for a violent action would be a massacre, not to mention counterproductive.

3. Civil disobedience is a personal decision, your choice.
You cannot in reality expect the majority of people to engage in massive civil disobedience or that most posts will call for it.

Yes, I think you are on the fringe.

Oh, here in Wisconsin we are acting, and without civil disobedience. As far as voting goes, it does change things. Last November Republicans showed up at the polls and far, far too many Democrats chose not to vote and as a result, things changed and that is how we are getting policies here that hurt us.

4. No "civil disobedience In WI", of course
that is what the protest IS. It is very productive and positive also.
When "your government" tells you to obey something, and you do not (usually because people know that it is not acceptable) that IS "civil disobedience."
I think you are on the fringe also......

"You cannot in reality expect the majority of people to engage in massive civil disobedience or that most posts will call for it."
Hmmmm... I am glad that the citizens of Egypt did not believe this.

6. There are signs of organization, if you look for them.
