Kansas legislator suggests using hunters in helicopters to control illegal immigration
Inappropriate? Ya think? Remember the guy who wanted to kill off the mentally ill? He’s resigned, and I’m betting this one’s not far behind. They just can’t help themselves.

Topeka — A legislator said Monday it might be a good idea to control illegal immigration the way the feral hog population has been controlled — with hunters shooting from helicopters.

State Rep. Virgil Peck, R-Tyro, said he was just joking, but that his comment did reflect frustration with the problem of illegal immigration.

Peck made his comment came during a discussion by the House Appropriations Committee on state spending for controlling feral swine.

After one of the committee members talked about a program that uses hunters in helicopters to shoot wild swine, Peck suggested that may be a way to control illegal immigration.

4. Superiority error.
Also why the wise and clever are thwarted, it is not all the wise and clever thwarted, it is those that think that makes them superior to some person with some other gift, or even just the dignity of the spirit of God in all people, since all are creations of God.

As soon as you think one group of people is better by any characteristic, then use that to hurt some other group, you are probable using superiority complex to rationalize hurting people.

5. Thanks for posting.
Otherwise I would not know that Kansas has developed a feral hog problem. I see that they have been illegally introduced by Texans in an effort to "beef" up the game hunting fun. Glad to see that Kansas has made hog hunting illegal in order to stop the importation for financial gain.

23. Illegally introduced in Texas? By whom?
Mike von Fremd, ABC News, November 13,2006

The Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto brought the hogs to America in 1539 and now they are eating crops, chicken and sheep.

16. From your mouth
...you know the rest. Try working on Equality for GLBT citizens with this group of whackos. It is absolutely stunning the level of hatred that we run into. Sick fucks.

We have an Equality March this weekend with the NAACP of Topeka and Kansas, The Center for Peace and Justice, ACLU, Kansas League of Women Voters, Mainstream Coalition and of course, my organization The Kansas Equality Coalition. I am hoping beyond hope that it is well attended however it will make no difference to these guys at all, they have huge majorities and we have no influence. Still, NGU!

Just when you think it is as bad as it gets something like this last election happens and you get this kind of thing. You notice the Democratic Party has nothing at all to do with this march (not surprising), they have nothing to do with legislation either anymore. Except for a few it is mostly just go along to get along. Sad, we are sadly stuck but still working.

10. Sunday's CSI Miami featured hunting people
They brought people in from Haiti just to hunt them in the Everglades. This is sounding like this idiot watched the show and thought it was a great idea.

11. That was a good show even though Caruso has to
be one of the worst actors in history. Have you noticed the writers on the COP shows seem to be promoting torture as acceptable police practice. On both Blue Bloods and CSI Miami the COPs got information from the suspect by torture or threatening torture?

21. Very good catch
I thought the exact same thing...so subliminal. At least there was contempt for hunting humans throughout the story. I can't believe we're even having to discuss it. :(

What is it with these repukes and shooting things from helicopters? At least Palin is good for some mildly entertaining moments once in a while.
