this jack ass on the local right wing talk station said we shouldn't help out
Japan because they only gave us 200k to help with Katrina.

Seriously.

They supplied that in cash from the Gov, but one man gave 1 million and the Japanese army kicked in 1.5 million in needed supplies...

One thing this ass wipe didn't take into consideration was that supplies are more important to us than cash.

1. Actually, I believe they sent several vessels over here, and they were turned away
just like so many people who were trying to aid the victims of Katrina.

5. WTH are you talking about?
An Asian American friend I know on another board is headed to Japan to help out.

Where do you get info they are 'turning away' help?

Now, during Katrina the US Government did in fact refuse international aid. That's a fact.

2. I'm surprised he didn't claim the quake was payback for Pearl Harbor!
Maybe he's not that crazy...

6. The state of talk radio is abysmal

Like Fred Phelps got hold of the State parks is the best way to describe it.

So now every time you go to your publicly - owned State Park, you have to read signs that say "Gawd Hates Librulls!"

It's so pathetic, I tried to listen to a few smaller-time rightie-tighties and I was getting physically sick. So now I flip on the shortwave and listen to Brazil or Germany or Canada ( and plenty O'Cuba whether one wants it or not lol).

Even if I don't understand all the words it's preferable to listening to bullshit in English.

If you're a radio junkie, I highly recommend it.
