My niece just finished basic training and is now in school for Nuclear engineering
My oldest brother pushed her in to the field feeling that this is the futures greatest possible energy solution, NOT!

1. Ummm.....
Well I can't anything about the future of nuclear power generation, but I dont see a need for engineers disappearing. We will still need people to do maintenance, support, and most importantly safety for a long time. Finally they will also be a need for research who knows what technologies are coming down the road.

And ..... we power our Warships with reactors ..... Nuclear Power is not going away in her lifetime.
