5. then that translates to
"We need the counts per minute any thing else unfounded." Which is equally uninformative.

22. Background levels are measured in cpm...
Background levels are measured in cpm;anything over 120 indicates other sources. For the layman, don't you think that is enough to know one might not want to go outside?

4. the happy brigade that told us we could not get breach
will be here soon...

They are recommending gross contamination removal within 30 km... and to stay inside.

20 km is now a closed exclusion zone.

17. I'm pretty much at zero tolerance for anything at this point.
People are going apeshit and control freaking the fuck out around here. Fine. I don't care it won't change what will happen one way or the other. Same can be said about the people saying we are all going to die! Bullshit and bullshit, why not just stay glued to the news and see if the Japanese currently dying are able to save perhaps if nothing else their entire country and there societies way of life.

A little pause is in order for the magnitude of a situation at times and now is one of them.

18. Well we are not going to die
this is not a nuclear holocaust... there are a few worst case scenarios for the West coast, but reaching the point of giving out iodine pills will be really incredible for the west coast. It does fall on the almost impossible level.

(Reuters) - "Minute levels" of radiation have been detected in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, Kyodo news agency said, quoting the metropolitan government.

They had found iodine and cesium but it was not immediately clear if it was linked to the damaged nuclear plant in the northeast.

It also said that radiation levels in Saitama, near Tokyo, were 40 times normal levels, quoting the local government.
