Not a bit of it. I personally think it's WAY worse, WAY WAY worse than they're reporting. History is my guide. Does anyone believe it's not so bad after all? Really?

It always is.

2. BBC has a "news" story right now, entitled.... "Radiation FALLS at Japanese plant"
Edited on Tue Mar-15-11 05:26 PM by Cronus Protagonist
Radiation levels fall at Japan's earthquake-stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant after two more explosions and a fire, officials say.

So let's apply Occam's razor. Two explosions and a fire happen. And radiation FALLS? This has to be complete pish tosh and shame on the Beeb for reporting it as "news".

6. It is falling on the ground
Probably closer to reality than what they are reporting. Or it is falling inside the reactor because radiation has escaped.

10. funny how the radiation levels rise and fall depending on how the wind blows....
When the wind blows toward independent meters, TEPCO says the levels are up, when it blows the other way, TEPCO says the levels are down.

13. I just can't be bothered to listen to the bullshit that's flying around
They report -- "blah blah blah" the officials said. None of the reporters on TV are asking tough questions.

WTF happened to journalism? It just up and died when we weren't looking.

4. I get that panic would ensue...
So I've cut them some slack until now. But it's time for some truth.

5. I don't trust any 'official' story about nuclear meltdowns
Edited on Tue Mar-15-11 05:30 PM by lunatica
First of all it stands to reason that the government would lie about something that horrible. Who wants the people to panis, and worse who wants the people to demand that the government do something real about fixing things.

Yeah, they're lying. They have to if they don't want to get killed.

7. Some of the photos of the devastation that have come
out eerily remind me of Hiroshima. I mean everything was flattened.

8. Same here - they are "insular"
Insular in geography and culture. They cannot bring themselves to "lose face' by admitting they need help or that they have screwed up by not getting nuke help earlier.

While the word marvels at the population's stoicism and self reliance, that same culture may be killing them and others through false pride and distaste for "outside" help.

11. I hope your wrong because what they are reporting sounds really really bad to me.
3 explosions 2 fires and damage to the primary containment unit and high levels of radiation leaking. And this has been going on for several days and they can't seem to get the plant under control.

12. I have NO trust in the "news" coming out of the US Media...
on ANY level.

Who will STAND and represent THIS American Majority?
Rhetoric, broken promises, and excuses mean NOTHING now.
"By their WORKS you will know them,"
and by their WORKS they will be judged.
