3. Madison is too far away, too hard to get to.
I mean, it's in the middle of the United States! Is there even any airline service to Madison? How could she be expected to travel so far just to cover an important news story? Tokyo is just a hop, skip and a jump, but Madison?

This time of year you've got to land the planes on skis.
And then ride a snowmobile into town.

9. Not enough sensationalism in Madison
Need destruction or violence to get the M$M attention.

I am not saying violence is the answer, rather, we need to understand that given the M$Media's relationship with the corporations and the GOP we cannot expect any attention for these fights until there is something sensational they can show blood and guts on the foxbox

Christiane Amanpour is steady and showing great strength... Diane is a wreak. I thought she was going to break down last night. She should leave the heavy lifting to Christiane.

15. It really is appalling..
Wisconsin is literally ground zero for the fights taking shape in more and more states over public employee benefits and unions. That most major news organizations paid so little attention is simple pathetic. What is happening in Madison is truly colossal in terms of its impact on the American way of life going forward. And if the media somehow doesn't accept how significant this is to American workers, at least they should see the political impact which will be to seriously weaken the Democratic party in the long term and potentially alter the nations balance of power. The Republicans are literally gutting the public sector unions in a major mid-western state and the mainstream media haven't seen fit to hardly cover it at all. It really shows you just how out of touch what passes as the mainstream media is these days.

By providing so little coverage, the mainstream media is effectively helping the Teabaggers/Republicans since what they are doing is so clearly unpopular. It's more than pathetic, it is a disgrace.

19. Yep, neither did anyone of note from CNN. American news has gone steadily
downhill for years and now it is a total wreck. I think it's "easier" in a way to cover a natural disaster because there's usually not all the vitriolic politics from the right wing about those stories. Still our media have a duty to report on labor issues. It's a real shame that, with a few exceptions, they have ignored Madison.

I have always detested her with a hatred brighter than a thousand suns.

Just another stealth right-wing shill.
