Oh, please, no. Not Culver for DNC Chair... |
|
our local news just reported that he is possibly up for that position. He's a decent guy but we need someone who is a bit more savvy and can fight for us. I so want Dr. Dean again.

2. They won't ask Dean to take over again |
|
He was too successful the first time; they mistakenly concluded that such success was easy to accomplish. After all, we elected a Democratic president, and a Dem-contolled House and Senate in 2008. Boy howdy, how hard could it be to do it again?

They is us, pretty sure.
Don't we vote on the DNC person at convention? Don't we vote at state convention for the folks who do that work?
Just elect the most progressive mofos we can find. Doing so here anyway.

14. No the DNC chair is not voted at the convention. |
|
When a party is in power the President chooses the chair. When out of power the party national committee (DNC,RNC) chooses the chair.

Thank you! I wasn't active in our party till 2000 so all I knew was life under the big red thumb. What a refreshing change though.

It became a well-oiled machine when Dean ran the thing. But never mind that, it's as easy as pie to get Democrats elected!!11!

13. Yeah, your post made do some googling. I found this: |
|
http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/2011/03/former-iowa-governor-chet-culver-on-dnc-chair-speculation-list/... Oh please make him the DNC chair, please make him the DNC chair. Please… Please… Please… That would so make my day. What a *gem* they would have in Culver being at the helm. I would only hope he’d run the DNC exactly like he ran the State of Iowa.

Actually, he did a pretty good job. He just got caught in the wave of discontent of election 2010.
