Together, we can stop the milk price gouging before it starts. |

I'd like to use this thread to do a little citizen-journalism. If we all work together, we can make it work. I'd like you to post the price of milk at a store of your selected choosing. Later, if you find that the prices changed, respond to your response. If we get a wide-enough distribution, we will have a good amount of data.
I read a statement by a nuclear-trained engineer on DU of the risk that radiation could get into the milk supply. If that is indeed true, it is expected that disaster capitalists will take advantage of this and use the opportunity to price-gouge. To you we send this warning: the whole world is watching. Right on DU.

1. Won't such warnings result in reduced consumption? |
|
How does that contribute to price gouging? I tend to think people won't be ready to spend more money for contaminated milk.

5. This would be for the type of milk in Tetra-Pak and similar containers. |
|
This milk would have been produced before the nuclear accident.

I'll stock up on beer and calclium pills instead. If I were to stock. Which I find no reason to, but opinions vary. but thanks anyways!

Yeah - I thought I was done with milk, then I got hooked on having a Saturday morning skinny latte. I have no idea if the radiation is going to get here in amounts large enough to worry about. You can't google that because you'll get those crazy end of times sites. Where do you get sane, rational, good info - oh yeah, DU. I'm sure we'll get it here first from a DUer as soon as radiation (dog forbid) hits our shores.
