1. I'm currently reading 'Tales of the Otori'
I'm on book # 3, My 14 year old son recommended it.

I haven't picked it up in 5 or so days.

I should have finished the series 3-4 days ago.

4. A beautiful post, thank you. This whole thing is just heartbreaking.
So much devastation. So much cruel loss: family members, holding hands to try to stay together, literally torn away from each other as the wave hit them. A nuclear disaster. My husband and I love the beauty of Japanese culture -- its art, its music, its gorgeous architecture, its religious traditions (Shinto shrines), and this whole thing is just horrible. Thank you for the lovely images that celebrate this culture.
