The Maryland general assembly session for this year has been disgusting to watch. Gay marriage was set to pass, but the Democrats opposed to it killed it for this year.

Now they're debating the death penalty. Listening to these venegeful people gloating over having successfully defeated repel in the past bothers me greatly. They sound exactly like the hard right GOPers you hear on the national level. Our governor opposes the death penalty. He's on the opposite side of the issue from our Senate president, who favors having state sanctioned murder.
