I feel your pain, although I might be months behind you. Here's my soon to be unemployed haiku.
Laid off in five weeks. Not many hopeful prospects. Van means roof above.

Faxed and copied to the max. It folded into quarters to make a 'card'. There was a drawing of Santa flipping the bird on the front.

Back then, I had a steady pay check from Uncle Sam. This year, I've worked four and a half weeks. I could use a few copies of that now. We're getting by though. A lot better off than many. Merry Christmas to you, Hoot. Hope all is well.

If I don't land work next month, I'll be on the street.
It's funny how things from the 80's recession come back to mind. It wasn't nearly this bad then, but I also had a government related job.
