Ugh.. having partisan battle on facebook

Original post by my son (who considers himself conservative, btw - though I think he's slowly approaching left). Then, my conservative in-laws. I've blacked out their names - left only mine. My last comment said "any news organization" - therefore does not include Fox. I'm just so sick of it, it's so aggravating being the only lefty.

1. I had a bunch of 'em come at me on one progressive talk host's page. Some of them quite

arrogant, mean-spirited, cocky, closed-minded, and snarky as hell. I checked out one woman's page and sure enough, high up on what you could see of its contents if you hadn't friended them - a quote from the "lovely" and completely selfishly fucked-up and self-involved ayn rand. Hmmm - why was I not surprised? And they all do similar things - "union thugs," "they get paid too much," "lazy," "7 million dollars damage," "I was there myself and they were all horrible human beings," "get over it, you lost," "it's over, give it up, blah-blah-blah..." and just too damn much other nauseating crap. These "people" wouldn't know compassion if it slammed 'em on the ground, rolled 'em on their faces, and gave 'em an enema.

I posted, on my own page, some stuff quoting what I described as "teabaggers" and a guy I know who's ferociously CONservative (damn near unredeemable!) chastized me for using that term - saying it was somehow beneath such a proud liberal to do so. And I just snapped back - "(Name withheld), as soon as they stop calling us the 'Democrat Party,' I shall be happy to refer to them by the name they wish to be called."

Just HAD it with these people. They really like to pile on. I went back to my talk show friend's page earlier today and that same knuckle-dragger is still there needling somebody else.

I don't "do" facebook, but isn't that what people do to get rid of pests?

4. My facebook page got pretty heated the other day

Libertarian/conservative FB friend vs. some of my progressive FB friends after I posted a link. The funny thing was that I have a cousin who is very conservative who actually agreed with some of my points on that thread and was being labeled a liberal because of it.
