HA! Just heard on the radio that Gov. Kasich of Ohio has
dropped to a 34% approval rating since he began his shannegians about a month ago. I also heard the other day that the people of OH are looking into recaling him. I just LOVE IT that finally people are recognizing just how crazy these pubs really are!

How did America get so ignorant? Ohio (and I live here) has never grown up, I hope to god that they finally get a clue.

11. sadly, state elected officials can't be recalled either:
Q: Could an Ohio governor be removed through a recall election?
A: No. Neither the Ohio constitution nor the Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Ohio’s collection of written laws, provide for recall elections for statewide offices. For this reason, Ohio voters cannot use recall to remove a governor.

13. You do realize we control NOTHING which includes a fully stacked GOP Supreme court
and may I comment that our state Democratic Party was divisive enough to allow an attack on progressive SOS Jennifer Brunner who ran for US Senate, angering many Dems. We need leadership within the party, first.

14. Well, as they say, "the reason for the Democratic Party...
...is so there's no alternative to the Republicans."

4. People don't like confronting reality. They've been getting something for nothing by
Using debt for so long they have no idea how to live without it.

I guess they would be happier if their taxes were raised right? My Democratic Governor is getting rid of the only exemption I can claim, my state taxes. It's a joke that the rich get taxed. It's easier to take something from everyone so really taxes are going up on everyone.

21. What are you blathering on about?
Got that right-wing meme shoehorned in there, "The Democrats are raising my taxes", I'll give you that, but it has absolutely NOTHING to do with what is going on in the Buckeye.

The Republicans created this mess starting ten years ago in this state.

Watch out for those mountains.

5. Didn't take long for Ohio to wake up
Edited on Wed Mar-16-11 11:13 AM by democracy _ idyllic
If only it were as easy as a recall.
No recall for governor in Ohio.
Looks like this is just the beginning of four years of Kasich.

7. Kasich is the perfect example of being careful what you wish for...
...because you just might get it. Maybe this will be the wakeup call most of that state needs.

8. I heard, via the radio, an AFSCME rep said she has members coming to her
everyday apologizing for voting the rethug line last year.

Too late now, stupids. Vote with emotions and repent with wisdom.

22. Might be interesting to ask them - "WHAT were you THINKING?????"
No, seriously! I'd like to know what was so appealing that it hooked them thoroughly enough to vote against their own best interests. I'd like to know what they thought they were going to be getting as a result, and why.

9. The Pukes are counting on the short attention span and memory of the electorate.
They figure that all of this will be forgotten by next election. Sadly, they're probably right.

15. File This One Under "Thanks For Nothing"
Not only is Kasich at a historic low in his first approval rating, but I also saw a poll that said if the election were re-held today, Strickland would whoop Kasich's hind-parts 54% to 40%. How nice of my fellow Ohioans to wake up and realize that Kasich is a train wreck NOW!!! NOW that we can't do anything about it!!! Thanks, jerks. I and lots of other people tried to warn you. But oh no, Strickland didn't clean up the mess left to him by Taft and Voinovich quick enough for some people's tastes, and then there was Santa Claus Kasich promising to do away with income tax.

I'm so frustrated with my fellow Ohioans right now. I mean, I guess it's OK that they've finally woken up. Just too bad that they had to actually TOUCH the hot stove before they would believe that it was hot. I really feel like Ohio had an election in which Superman was running for re-election, and they all said, "Well, Superman promised to clean up the streets, but he hasn't done it fast enough for my tastes. There is still crime out there. So I'm voting for that Lex Luthor guy instead."
