I've felt most hopeful in the past several years when I saw this...
I nearly cried when I saw them. I couldn't stop taking pictures.

Ladies & Gentleman, I introduce "hope & change"...

Beautiful, aren't they?

There were literally thousands of them. As far as the eye could see.
A year earlier, I didn't see a one.
And there were new ones being built. They were like watching spring chickens hatching.

2. Is that the wind farm on I-70?
If not, there's one there too, but I think it's a T-Boone pickens project.

4. They really are beautiful - and a large part of that beauty is appreciating what
they represent! Wonderful photos - give me chills -- and HOPE, too! :hi:

8. Even if they are, it's not a totally bad thing if it means that someday

a soldier won't be sent to fight a "oil-war".

Perhaps a few hundred years from now, children in school will be taught about the 20th century's Wars for Oil, and the children won't understand why on earth we fought wars over that nasty, gooey stuff:)

11. Do they ever come over the intercom and do "drills" to warn people in case of a turbine meltdown?
