Candidate arrested...more great family republican values

Mark Gietzen, a candidate for the District 3 seat on the Wichita City Council, was arrested this afternoon, records show.

Gietzen, 57, was booked into Sedgwick County Jail at 4:08 p.m. today.

Gietzen's charge is listed as "improper left turn," but he was arrested on a bench warrant.

Bond was set at $1,000.

8. probably a drunk driving

Before that, Gietzen's license was restricted because he had accumulated multiple traffic tickets.

Records from the Kansas Department of Revenue show those citations include:

* Speeding: 45 mph in a 35 mph zone on July 11, 2010.

* Speeding: 65 mph in a 50 mph zone on June 7, 2010.

* Driving wrong way, wrong direction or in wrong lane or improper lane change on May 1, 2010.

* Speeding: 40 mph in a 30 mph zone on July 24, 2009.

3. a piece of (crap) work
He was a flight instructor, owned a Christian dating service, and was a perennial candidate for the state senate in the 80's and 90's. Both of the businesses required customers/clients to swear that they were Christians, in good standing with their churces, and would refrain from all sexual activity until married. He had his campaign staff make similar vows.

...Gietzen's license was restricted because he had accumulated multiple traffic tickets...

* Speeding: 45 mph in a 35 mph zone on July 11, 2010.

* Speeding: 65 mph in a 50 mph zone on June 7, 2010.

* Driving wrong way, wrong direction or in wrong lane or improper lane change on May 1, 2010...

Three citations in ONE year -- and one was multiple choice? That should get your license suspended, not restricted!

5. See, these Republicans have to thoroughly research all of the vices
they plan to denounce, so they can authoritatively talk about how these things harm the country. They're making an enormous sacrifice so we don't have to.

They're true American heroes! :patriot:
